MY ARTICLE TALKS ABOUT...

Hello guyssss..

Here's the article that I found from 'The Guardian':

China to stop using executed prisoners as source of transplant organs.

Reported that China is the only country that still systematically takes organs from executed prisoners for use in transplant operations. The supply of human organs falls far short of demand in China, due in part to a traditional belief that bodies should be buried or cremated intact. An estimated 300,000 patients are wait-listed every year for organ transplants, but that only about 100,000 ultimately or so receive them. Owing to high demand and low donation rates, death row prisoners have provided the majority of transplanted organs for years. But in future their organs will only be used if they volunteer to donate and their families approve the decision. So far, the Chinese government has over the last year flagged plans to end the controversial practice (from next month - January 2015) which has drawn criticism from rights groups who have accused authorities of taking many organs without consent from prisoners or their families.
What you do think about this article ?
To be honest, I have never thought about this kind of thing before. Organs from prisoners ?? This is a human rights nightmare..

P.S  Thanks for reading and feel free to leave your comment on this :)

What's going on in this picture?

Hello everyone..

Here's my another 'What's going on in this picture?'

Is it about Thanksgiving ?
Maybe yes but I am not quite sure because I don't know what exactly they are holding. A turkey ? I think no.

But what I think on this picture is that this is a tradition in the village. Every year on Thanksgiving they will have a bird racing.

THAT FLIPPING..

What's going on in this picture ?

The first thought that pop up in my head when I saw this picture is that they are filming. From my imagination, the movie is about the civil war in somewhere. In this scene, the guy with perfect flipping who is the main character in this movie tries to help little boy escape from dangerous area.

Elements of Verification game

Hello everyone !

Now I'm back with an interesting game (it's actually more like a TEST but I just called that a GAME. And that's confusing now haha). Let's see what I have done through this !

I chose the second one "Information Meltdown". The story was about a girl named Neelam Varshi, she was about to heading to Boston to see her mom and complete her mission as her boss offered her to be responsible for. Before taking off, she found out the news through the environmentalist's blogger that her fiancee's friend posted. The news felt a bit too conspiracy theorist, also the situation did sound dangerous to keep her heading forward. Anyway, the decision I picked out for her is to JUMP ON THE PLANE because I think there's nothing to be panic about as long as they did not announce and cancel all the flights. After the flight landed safely in Boston, Neelam rechecked the news again. She read with concern and it seemed that reporters tried to omit information, not to be on top stories. So she went through many blogs to get information of this situation as much as she can. Then she received her fiancee's call, he told her to be careful where she was right now. Neelam hesitated and decided to call her aunt. The bad news she got from her aunt is there's an explosion outside and it'd be more safely not to come out. But for her score point at the firm and her future career is waiting her in the following morning, if I was her, I'd decide to WAIT AT THE AIRPORT AND GET THE HOTEL ROOM FOR THE NIGHT, and let see if situation slow down. Well, the result gave me that Neelam couldn't complete her work because it was too late and she missed to see her mom.

This story brings me a good lesson learnt in verifying news that how am I supposed to do in this kind of situation if I was Neelam. You guys should take a look and don't forget to share with me !

P.S: I know this is too longgggg but thanks for reading.

See you next post ! :)

Hello everyone !

I know it’s been super duper late to post it.
Well well well, according to my Implicit Bias Test that I have done last couple weeks ago, here’s my result: “Your data suggest automatic preference of White people over Black people”. It said that I was faster when White people items appeared before Pleasant words than Black people items. And you know what, this result was quite surprising me. When I took this test, I just did whatever the rules said and didn't focus on Black or White at all. Then I asked myself after I finished it “Do I have this bias too?”. I actually don't know what kind of person am I. But overall, I think this test is really interesting to discover myself that I have never knew before.

Thank you for reading :)
